A Special Welcome

I would like to extend a special welcome to the students of Sea Girt School who are now following my blog! Please feel free to leave comments!

Here's a view out the window of the internet cafe I'm at!

Hello! My husband and I are headed your way with at the beginning of March (Staging starts Feb. 29). We will have to live separately during training as well.

Do you have any tips for us? Or anything you wish you would have (or wouldn't have) packed?

Thanks!

Well, my iPod touch is saving my life as far as internet access and various uses (blogging, Skyping, etc.), if you can afford it. Other than that, I wish I had brought a larger external hard drive for movies and warmer clothing for the training site - though, by march I'm not sure what the weather will be like. I was happy to have my wind-up flashlight when the power went out. Other than that, if you're a stickler for good pens, they're in short supply here - (i'm a bit obsessive about my pens, and so's my wife). Make sure to check out the discounts page on the PC wiki for deals on stuff. I'll let you know more when I get to my site. congratulations! CR is awesome!

(PS - start studying Spanish!)

Is Peace Corps ever dangerous?

Hello! You're adventures in Costa Rica seem very exciting! Did you want to be a PCV when you were younger? Also, do you plan to do peace corps projects for the rest of your life? Thank you.
